On Windows systems, programs or shortcuts placed in the Startup folder will run whenever Windows starts.
Click the Start button , click All Programs, right-click the Startup folder, and then click Open.
Create a batch file that invokes FortLM license server with your license file. For example, my-batch.bat contains:
/path-to/flmserver /path-to/my-license-file /path-to/my-vendor-public-key-file
Open the location that contains the batch file.
Right-click the batch file item, and then click Create Shortcut. The new shortcut appears in the same location as the original item.
Drag the shortcut into the Startup folder.
The next time you start Windows, the program will run automatically.
On Linux systems, you can place the command:
'/path-to/flmserver -f /path-to/my-license-file /path-to/my-vendor-public-key-file'
in /etc/rd.d/rc.local. Note you should use '-f' option on Linux when starting license server automatically.
You can also create scripts to run it in the desired run levels.
