Press Release

Learn how to save SNMP test results for diagnosis, debugging, management reporting, and regression testing by viewing these five minute videos.

Scotts Valley, California (PRWEB) December 01, 2011

InterWorking Labs, developers of network emulators and protocol testers to improve the quality and operation of apps and devices in mobile, cloud, and wide area networks, today announced a new set of instructional videos on saving test results with SilverCreek, the SNMP Test Suite.

The four new videos introduce the options and alternatives for saving test results when using the SilverCreek SNMP Test Suite to test agent devices. These devices -- routers, switches, SANs, etc. -- incorporate the Simple Network Management Protocol so that the devices may be monitored and managed in production networks. SilverCreek generates an extensive series of tests for each device under test to verify correct operation.

The videos demonstrate how to select the most appropriate method for saving test results based on several factors. Each method is appropriate for a particular purpose. The methods for saving test results include Quick Save Results, the Journal File, and Automatic Logging.

Quick Save Results provides a high level overview of the agent's performance, liked a score card, suitable for presentation to management. Capturing test results with the Journal File permits developers to analyze the protocol conversation between the agent and SilverCreek to pinpoint sources of errors. Automatic Logging provides the foundation for regression testing comparisons.

The videos are available on the InterWorking Labs YouTube Channel. Click below to watch a video
